I dont think its the alternator. This is a somewhat common problem. It usually either the rear hatch door switch or the hood switch. For the rear door switch, pull it out and find a washer or 2 it will fit through to space the switch out a little farther. For some reason they will push back enough to not make good contact. For the hood switch, just bend the mounting bracket upwards. They tend to bend down over time.
