Tony, look for someone parting out a mid-80 Cherokee or Wagoneer FSJ with driver's side drop D44 and centered Chrylser rear axle. These are 6-lug, no rimmy changy. The Chrysler axle will hold up to a V8 Raider and your 'style' wouldn't be cramped.

Not too much progress lately. Getting the parts together for SAS. I have springs, spring mounts, and shocks, still looking for the right axle for the right price though.

Well I think I found the right axle at the right price... either that or I found the wrong one at the right price. Regardless I'm picking it up tomorrow. It's a Bronco Dana 44, currently has 5.89 gears in it and Warn axle shafts. Was under a SAS'd sidekick with a 9" behind it. Should have pics for tomorrow, then the work starts.

Custom bucket-on-bucket coil mount... yeesh
[Linked Image]

Steering is butchered, as are the coil buckets, and there are "custom" snowplow brackets on it, but it does have chromoly axle shafts and high steer knuckles, so I can't complain for $250.

Plans are still coming together, but here's what I have so far.

-Wild horses springs and coil buckets
-4.56 gears
-custom heim joint radius arms copied from Dannytuned
-1.5".250 wall DOM steering linkage with 1 ton tie rod ends

We'll see what else happens.

Time for another update. Got the hubs and rotors today to convert my ford axle to 6X5.5 bolt patern. Bought a set of 4" Superlift TJ coils from a friend for 50 bucks so I'm going to run them. Got the rears too, may lead to 4 link rear, not sure yet. Still trying to find a good local source for DOM, my normal steel place is hit and miss on it. Hopefully get the axle ready to go this week and post some pics of the 5 to 6 bolt swap.

Looks like some type of a tube fender/flare will be needed.

Been going pretty slow the last few months, I got laid off in march but I'm working again now so parts are starting to come in.
