i had the similar option just 400kms ago, i rebuilt my engine with new pistons, ring, main and big end bearings, new cylinder sleeves(mines a diesel 2.5) and its as good as brand new now, with a recon engine i wouldnt know whats in it and how much life is left off it..its better to rebuild with original MMC parts
