I did mine with .030 over. Rebuilt myself, AND I was dreading emissions testing, but she went through like a dream!

That's very comforting to hear. Now, did you go through the emmision testing with your Air Flow Meter adjusted a couple of teeth richer? I currently have mine set two or three teeth richer to accommodate the larger displacement along with the cam and header.

I never had to change my AFM and I have an over bored engine, cam, headers, bored throttle body, etc. Also have an A/F meter and the mixture is just fine with no AFM tweaks and I do pass CA smog.

Never messed with the AFM. I adjust and/or tweek to stock specs whenever, where-ever possible. 'Cept for EB's cam. That is adjusted (valve lash) to His specs.

sounds good. I'll set my AFM back to stock settings before heading to emissions on Tuesday. I marked the teeth with a white permanent marker so it's easy to go back. I'll also reset the ECU prior as well(of course).

Whoo hoo... passed emissions with flying colors! Now, afterwards I was tightening up all of the header bolts (installed a new LC engineering header) and found the top left header stud is stripped out in the head So... what to do? remove and try to helicoil or is there a better way to repair this problem

You talking about the top bolt, closest to the firewall? Everyone has issues with that one. I go longer bolt first to grab in there. If that don't do it, you can tap it for a 7/16 bolt. (one size up)

Actually, its the top left (closest to the radiator). A longer stud would be great... Problem is where do you find a M10 metric stud at??

In a pinch, you can hit up ACE, get a long metric bolt, cut down to size. Basically a full lenth threaded stud.

Good call, I'll give it a shot.
