You will just need a way to charge/power your player. I've been using my Ipod going to an amp (headphone plug to RCA cable)and that powers my speakers. Volume control is on the ipod. I use a toggle switch on the remote on for the amp to turn it on/off. It really doesn't get easier than that. No, I don't miss the radio.
