Getting the Wheeling Fever

1996 Tacoma 4x4 Manual 5 speed 4 cylinder 265,000 miles. If I drive around a while then turn my truck off and it won't start for about 20 minutes or so until something cools off. Runs fine after it starts. I replaced the ignition coil hoping that would take care of the problem but no luck. The summertime temperature here in Albuquerque gets pretty hot but I have not had this problem until recently. Battery, alternator, etc is okay. Starts right up after 20 minutes or so. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the starter seem to drag or turn the motor over slow when it acts up? Or does it turn the motor over normaly but not start?

The motor turns over normally like it is going to start but just will not start. I wait a while (about 20 minutes) and it starts like there was never a problem. I had the same problem with a Chevy truck I used to own and replacing the electronic ignition coil module fixed it right up....no such luck in my Toyota.

Could possibly be a problem with the ECU temp sender.

There was a guy over on ToyotaNation.com who had a similar hot start problem.
Well, I got the problem solved FINALLY!! What was happening, was that the fuel injectors were leaking fuel into the cylinders and flooding the engine on a hot start. When enough time passed that the fuel dissipated, then the problem went away. I changed all of the injectors and now I do not have the problem any more...
