Hmmm...never needed an AM booster. I tend to primarily listen to AM stations, especially when on the road. I've picked up AM1000 from Seattle while driving near Bar(f)stow, CA, and I can pick up AM640 in L.A. out here in Colorado. Mostly better at night, though.

I like my XM <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Ditto! XM 165 gets your most common Clear Channel shows including Coast to Coast AM. That and XM 202 are my most used channels. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Guys. Its just all the static. I use to get it clear but now when I,am driving I hear the static like its coming from the plug wires. If I let off the gas it will go away some what. Like I said this just started and the wires are only about a year old and the same for the plugs. I like AM 640 and I,am only about 70 miles away.
Thanks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Biggest thing with AM radio is having clean connections on your antenna and your grounding. I would check your radio connections, clean anything that even looks like it has a thin film of dirt on it. You'd be amazed with what can be accomplished with a bit of time and a wire brush.
If we knew what we were doing, it wouldn't be research
