I made it through round one. How bad is it out there? I'm working for a pretty stable design firm with five offices in the Carolina's, but our Charlotte and Wilmington, NC offices took it pretty hard. I'm in Wilmington, and glad to have a project to work on. How's it going for the rest of y'all? It's getting tight here.

not so bad here in tx, or at least for my wife and I im not sure about the rest but we both have jobs that are not going anywhere. cops and teachers will always be around. we dont make alot of money but it is stable.

I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6

I work for a caterpillar dealership in the precision machine/weld shop and we have more work than we can handle and we're hiring. But copper mining is booming and they need trucks.

Glad to hear it's not everyone taking a pummeling. We've had nearly 16-18 years of pretty good times financially - guess it was time for an adjustment.

I can think of twp fairly large A/C shops only letting there employees work half days. Leaving one tech. to work what ever he can scrounge up for time.
That's pretty bad!
Not a very busy season for the industry, we need more heat!
Been alright for my comp. doing refrigeration too.

I guess i am pretty lucky doing criminal prosecution. I have an endless supply of drunks, tweakers, child molesters, and thieves.

I don't think I even WANT to know what a "tweaker" is.
