You should notice an increase in performance what with the lightening of your wallet.
Last time I saw a racing fuel pump it was $3.99 a gallon. Now regular cost that.

High octane gas does not increase performance in low compression engines. It's a waste of money unless your driving a race car <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

I wasn't claiming that the fuel would add performance. I was sayinjg that his car would perform better without all the excess weight of the cash he carried in his wallet.

There are at least two major errors in that FAQ. Nothing worse that a FAQ furthering myths. Anyone else notice? Kevin

I don't think that cylinder pressures are necessarily higher at full throttle. That would be dependant on ignition timing and fuel octane rating.
