"professional bovine relocation specialist" Is simply a fancy way of saying "Cowboy" I thought it was a fair subtitle for me.. as I have always thought of myself as sort of a fancy c'boy..
As for the Elephant:... My Dad and two of his brothers built a Game Park between Sevierville and Gatlinburg in an area known as Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. (As an aside I went to the same school as Dolly Parton and her family, actually took one of them to the Prom! And before you ask..yes she was endowed also..) It was full of different animals from most everywhere in the world..
In my 14th summer my Dad purchased a circus Elephant named Judy from some circus and she came with a truck to carry her in.
Upon arrival I was appointed the elephant keeper.. Am I the only one here that has ever shoveled elephant *****? Anyway Judy had lost her left eye and was a real pain to be around. One had to speak and whistle when on the wrong side of her. If not one would find himself picking up a few yards away..
She came with all the circus stuff that is needed to perform an act in a tent.. And for the one summer I had the old girl do her tricks every hour on the hour till school started in the fall..
The next summer, my 15th, My uncle Mayborn introduced me to the snake pit, which the family thought was a move UP in the business. But I digress.
