I'm sure someone on here knows what it had stock, I don't, but check out quadratec.com. Go to the "knowledge center" and look under "axle identification". The shape and number of bolts in the diff should ID the bugger.

It's probably a CJ5 or CJ-7. I think they made the last CJ-6 in 75.

Don't mean to hyjack a thread, but just what years were the CJ-5's, 6's, 7's and 8's (Scramblers?) made? Were 5's still made later than 6's? (Your last answer to the post kinda implies they were). Just curious, don't have much idea, except I'm pretty sure it was a CJ-7 I tipped over in the dunes in NJ sooooo many years ago. (Beach patrol....my buddy accidentaly didn't return the keys at afterwork) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Body Damage is Cool
As I recall, they stopped making CJ-6's before the CJ-7's came out, which was in 1976. So the last CJ-6 proabably was made in 1975 or earlier. CJ-5's were made until 1983. CJ-7's were made until 1986. Not sure about CJ-8's, but they may have been made until 1986 also.

1977 CJ-7, fiberglass body, AMC 360 w/ headers, DUI ignition, Edelbrock intake and Holley 4150 carb, TF999, Dana 300, 4.56 gears lockers, York air comp, 4" susp lift, 2" body lift, BFG 35" M-T tires, Megashifter, AGR pump & box, REP8000 winch.
