Need a little help......What I first though was my front u-joint turns out to be a chirping noise coming from my clutch/tranny area. If I am driving down the road and barely push the clutch in the noise stops, but if it is idling and I push the clutch in it doesn't stop. Any ideas how to make this problem go away?

>>>*The key here is the noise is present at idle, not present while moving.

The difference is moving there is load on the assembly.

I have seen this one before, most of the time it turns out to be the throwout bearing itself, but sometimes a small hard spot in the flywheel will develop and the disc itself will squeak as it slightly bounces against the spot.

One that comes right to mind was one of our circle track stock cars, it made so much noise people turned to look at us in the pits. I removed and refaced the flywheel and solved that one....*EB
