That's actually what I was getting at. I'm prepping to do just this, install and E-locker into my '89 Rnr. The Q was whether to find a v6 axle housin gto modify for the studs, or just use the 4cyl housing that's on the truck now. Based on Adam's comments, it seems the effort to specifically acquire a v6 housing just isn't worth it.
