This is an '89 and there is a difference - the '89 distributor wires exit the bottom of the bowl instead of the front, but maybe you can pull a little slack from the harness near the A/C switch, tuck the distributor wires under the bowl, then up behind the thermostat housing. If not, I'd make sure the clamps were replaced with an OE clamp or repositioned so they can't damage the distributor wires. It may never be a problem...... but it might.
