Need a Spot
Could owners of these post their average fuel economies? I am trying to decide which SUV of this era to buy.

Thanks!

varies between 9.0 and 10.5 l/100km (27 to 30 mpg, imperial gallons that is), depending on whether I drive at 85-90 kph or 95-100 kph, proportion in town, etc. . 91 SWB 2.5TDI

The best I got in city 9,6 L/100 km. More often 9,9-10,6.
Depends on tire pressure and you driving style.

I get about 750Km on 80L-83L (city or highway it doesn't change). If you could drive at 80 km/h you would get even better. These vehicles get great fuel milage in town, but because of the low gearing 2700 RPM doing 100KM/H the #'s don't change for the highway. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

US gallons? Full size pajero?

Mine's a SWB -less weight. I get 100km/h at 2500 RPM so running at 90 KM/h is only about 2250 RPM.

Do you have the 93L tank? If you do you are getting really crappy milage. I would try and keep the right foot up a little more or if that isn't the problem get the injectors cleaned.

How may liters are you burning to go 550 kms? Give us numbers in liters per 100 kms and we then have an accurate measure to compare it with.
