 How do you reset the ''maintenance required'' light

1989 raider 3.0l engine, just reach 80,000 miles and the maintenance light came on . this old girl has been pretty much over hauled from plugs to timing chain. i dont think it needs anything other than reseting it.
no luck in finding it in our forum

My 89 Montero did the same thing. It is just a light that will always stay on after a certian amount of miles

I wanna say you pull the speedo assembly and there is a switch somewhere on it. Never did it on mine, but I rember reading that somewhere. Also use the SEARCH option it works. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Thanks this really help. Even after I took it apart I wouldnÆt been able to located that slot if it wasnÆt for the picture
