In conclusion, I'll be grinning ear to ear, and the harder it blows, the happier I'll be.

I'm with you brother! I had the pleasure of riding out a typhoon on Okinawa last year and it was a doosey! I played in the rain like a little kid, drank some beer outside while the wind whipped the trees around and got jacked on the "Gentleman" while playing Texas Hold 'Em with some great friends in a room at the Bachelor's Quarters. So, all was well and good until it was time to go home and the sidways rain shorted the card reader on my BQ room. I called the office and got told I was out of my mind and that they're not coming out in the $hit. I had to sleep in a chair in a buddies room until they came and smacked my peepee for being outside when I wasn't supposed to be.

Would I do it again? ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY!!!

Be safe, guys...

Right there with ya, Curt. Stay safe, as I'm sure you will.

When I was in high school, I got the opportunity to go stay near Homestead before Andrew hit. My Ag teacher's college roommate had a horse farm and wanted some people to be there before it hit so we could help clean up afterward. Man, that was a blast. There was a bit there where I was scared to death. But, it sure was fun. Made a buttload of cash after the storm. Drove a tractor with a flatbed around the farm picking up debris and dead horses and burning stuff. Good times.

Any truth to the rumors that NO is prepping to blame this one on the republicans? If so, will it effect the election? Just curious.

Oh, Man! I posted something like that last night. Some times I get a little carried away when I hear stuff on the radio.
Don't stop the thread, not necessary.

Now that I am up here and seeing whats coming down there. I really miss huricane parties. Trying to prep the castle type stuff. Seeing Mother Natures badassness and how she can turn on us.
I moved from O-town two days from Andrews badassness came ashore. Went back down a week later to check on family freinds, WOW< what a mess!!
04' was a great year for huricaines but they were weak. Still lots of partying going on. I set on my porch during most of the three and enjoyed the sites.

>>>*I have been watching that too. If it keeps it's current track into warmer waters, it can build one heck of a lot more strength.

It's a catagory 4 already, there isn't a real catagory for what the temperature and pressure differences are reading as possible.

It's on the serious side.

I would suggest not waiting to see, I think I would be heading out of there right now....*EB

*Beats the he** outa me!....*LOL**...
