Anyone have any experience with these little fat tire bikes?

I've been looking to get a bike under 300 lbs to carry on a Motolift behind my Wrangler and found a low mile 2005 TW for under 2 grand.
Street legal is a plus. Alot of the trails around here are non-ORV but open to dual sports. I don't know much about the TW series at all. It sounds like they've been around for a long time.

The KLX250S is definitly a sweet looking bike but even used they're over 4K which is just way too much for a 250cc.

I've been riding a DR350 for years and like it on the road but the thing is just too heavy for the tight trails I ride up here. I've dumped it on slick hills and it really sucks to pick up a 380 lb bike in the mud by yourself.
Maybe I'm just gettin old but lower and lighter sounds really nice.

The XR200 is decent off road but really takes alot of time to keep running. It HATES to sit. If I don't run it at least once a week it jsut spits and stumples like crazy.
The carb has been rebuilt twice in ten years but it's always finicky about weather and elevations over 3,000ft.

I'm selling the DR. Not sure about the XR yet.
Any advice on smaller dual sports or experience with the TW is appreciated. I'm looking at picking it up tommorow if the test ride goes well.

Thanks!
