I understand that a 1987 Dodge Raider is a rebadged Montero, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I've been running the numbers on Edmunds.com this morning. What's the real value of a 1987 Dodge Raider with AC and AM/FM/CD (aftermarket) with 155k original miles, all orig parts except belts, alternator, radiator exhaust and battery. Good BFG mud tires on it, with a grill guard too. Overall condition is clean, color is red, paint needs to be buffed out to shine, but no rust, no repainting, and only one small ding below the turn signal. Interior condition is very good, but the current owner removed the back seat and no longer has it. Truck appears to be on the original clutch.

Edmunds says from a private party this truck is worth around $400. Seller is asking $1500, I wondering if he is smokin' or what? BTW, Kelley Blue Book says the 1988 version of this truck would be worth $850, I'm guessing that for another year older Kelley would say about $650 (kelley doesn't go back to 1987).

Is this vehicle really worth this high a premium over the Kelley and Edmunds values??
