Need a Spot
Hi Guys, Back to looking for a Wrangler to pick up and found a 1988 with a 2.5 in her.Engine has been rebuilt. Hard top, full doors, and A/C. works. Clean interior, No rust either. Runs good. I think it can be bought for about $3000-$3200.
Not sure if I should seriously thinnk about this or hold out and buy a bit newer. As I said before it will be my DD in Flat ( but Hurricane Frequent!!) Florida and will need to pull a 1000lb boat once in awhile.
Thanks in advance for opinions on the '88 and the 2.5 engine

Body Damage is Cool
Just my opinion, but I think that 3 grand is too much for a 20-year-old YJ with a 4-cylinder engine, even if it is in good shape.

I think you could get a newer one for that money if you shopped around, and certainly one with a 6-cylinder engine.

I second that. And the 4cyl isnt much for towing anything.
