Yesterday a woman came up to the Commercial desk and asked if I could cut a piece of dowel for her to use as a window blocker. I replied, yes, and asked how long she needed it. She said 19 inches. I went to a chopsaw, cut the dowel at 19 inches, and gave both pieces back to her.
While I was at lunch today, she came into the store again, complaining loudly that I had cut the piece 29 inches long rather than 19 inches.
What is wrong with this picture?
(Hint - the original dowel was 48 inches long.)
Remember - they are out there among us and the vote!!

It even worse during a full moon. Customers go from 'wierd' to 'crazier than a sh house rat'.

I used to work for cable TV. You wouldn't believe the number of service calls for "no sound" where I'd walk in, turn the knob on the TV, and present a bill for $36.00.(Back when the set top box had a volume control separate from the TV.)
This was after the service desk advised them to check exactly this. Often with a "Look the volume doesn't work, I'm not stupid, send your guy!" conversation on the other end.

I worked at HERTZ rental car service (airport) while waiting for my license issue to clear from the military/ nursing.
I got treated like "Dog-Poop" most of the time. Many sarcastic cusomers with Retarded internet/resturaunt/county fair coupons etc.......that we were not able to except due to non-franchise issues. The threshhold for patience was certainly challenged. I worked with mostly kids and younger people at the time. In a way it was kinda fun---unique experiance to say the least.
I lost it one time when a lady with a 8 ct. diamond ring on her finger thought that she had owned the world and that we were nothing more than slaves or a collective group of persons of inferior station. Needless to say I got called in to the office the next day.
Back then I was only getting like $9.00 + commish per hour.
People can be pretty stupid at times. It was very interesting because we had people coming in from all over the world.
I almost forgot, I got in trouble for inviting a customer (soap opera star from the spanish station) to the back for pics with all of us.
BTW...She looked hot!
I did not know who the heck she was. My co-worker said that she was famous and naturally I asked if she would not mind on taking pics with us. The next day I got called into the office again, for allowing a customer to enter the back office.
I don't miss those days one bit. It happens in retail, customer service, and other facets of jobs in which people will commence to act like asses!
....Patience is a virtue........So I have been told

Working in the A/C world is the same way, residential or commercial. At houses the customer is smarter than the companies employee that gets sent out, but can't seem to figure it out himself. Then in the commercial end, the office people can't get comfortable. So they block off the registers with what ever their little hearts desire. Then the air naturally flows at a faster pace to the othe registers. Before you know it most of the registers are covered up, the equipment is froze up and now every one is hot.
People don,t think about the consequences of their actions or the reason things are and the way they are set up that way.
Some people are just too good for even their own good.
