I replied,yes, and asked how long she needed it. She said 19 inches. I went to a chopsaw, cut the dowel at 19 inches, and gave both pieces back to her. While I was at lunch today, she came into the store again, complaining loudly that I had cut the piece 29 inches long rather than 19 inches. What is wrong with this picture? (Hint - the original dowel was 48 inches long.)
