I wonder what we should all do if we "OPT" to purchase a new vehicle anytime soon? Do we get Deisel/Gas/ or just wait for whatever comes next?????? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Diesel used to be CHEAPER than gas up here; that's why you'd see a lot of diesel rigs around here. Unleaded regular is at $4.18; diesel is still hovering around $5. The diesel exceeded gas prices around May, IIRC. I have yet to ask about #1 heating fuel. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> I pitched about 3 cord of wood this weekend, and have the replacement chimney stack in static assembly for installation laying in the yard. I have a week and a half or so of 3.39 gas.
News said gov. is going to release 300k barrels of oil out of the oil reserve.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I just used up the last of my $3.35 gas today... I just filled up for $3.85 though at the exxon off 85 at the Route 29 exit. That gas station always has the best booze prices, too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Was in Charlotte over the weekend with my family. Got a little worried on Sat night trying to find gas for the trip back to Clayton (180 miles). I would say most stations were out of gas. Found a place selling for $3.85, but it was taking other people 15-20 mins to get 5 gallons of 87. I thought there might be more 89 and got 17 gallons in 20 mins so not as bad, but still pretty crazy. OPEC is not just a regular business, even though they like to think that way. Last week when crude dropped to under $100 a barrel they slowed production <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

OPEC's days may be just about over as a controller of oil pricing...... the largest member - Saudi Arabia walked out of last week's OPEC meeting and declared that they would not curtail production... and in fact would step it up to meet demand if necessary. I got 93 at BP for 3.62 down at Nags Head Saturday afternoon. The highist I saw it there was 4.12 it dropped quickly after that.
