Ok SD so using this logic path, assuming one had a failed front diff, one then should be able to remove both front axle shafts, press the axle stub shaft off of the u-joint, and re-assemble the hub assembly back together with the stub shaft installed, leaving the axle shaft part out so the diff is not spinning, but the bearing hub assembly would be properly retained then. Correct? I am not trying to be argumentative with this at all, I just trying to figure out where my original assumptions failed me.
