getting closer to solving the lots of cranking to start my 1 ton junk hauler. has any one ever had a defective or out of adjustment throttle position sensor cause a lot of cranking before starting? just when its cold it takes several (5-7) tries of starting to get it to run, and when it does start to run it acts like its short on fuel for the first 10 seconds or so. when its warm its fine, it fires right up. I already checked and ruled out the fuel pump,(fuel pump jumper makes no difference) cold start injecter, cold start timer switch, temp switch, open circuit relay. I checked the trouble codes I get code 6 & 11 which is the TPS and ECU. what i'm thinking is the tps is causing the ecu to not work correctly. if I disconnect the battery and clear the ecu, it will start like it should. sorry for the long post, just trying to describe everything !!
