Thanks Grasscat, yet it's completely standard. I imported it from Japan a few months ago. In Japan only the top of the range had the wide fenders and wide wheels. They were not available in the UK either.

Mine is the Super JX-W. It's slightly less glitzy than the Exceed, doesnt have the centre binnacle with inclinometer etc but does have a limited slip diff.

The coil draws about 6A so you should be ok.

Thanks again Frank. Good to know the wire will cope with the amperage. Gave it a quick blast to 6000rpm and no hesitation/misfire. Nice to have it working again and I have a nice new coil, transistor and dist cap/arm for the future!
