Numerically, probably more 4-cyl Raiders than V6's.

I have the LSD in my Raider and cannot imagine going in the dirt without that at least. My wife and I financed our first car, an 86 Montero with open axles. I would have changed several things had I known about Montero parts then.

I can't help with Weber stuff. LSD, yes. Weber, probably. Vacuum lines should be pretty simple compared to the Mikuni. 1: signal for the power booster, 2: signal for the vacuum advance on the dizzy, 3: signal for the vapor recovery, 4: signal for the PCV. What else?

Lastly, welcome to the 4x4Wire!!

Thanks for the info.

Does your choke work well on the weber? Mine seems to have a low fast idle.

My parts Raider is a 2.6 with an auto.
I have parts I don't need that I am going to post before I scrap it.

I have to go to emissions testing in January and I am a little worried.

You could register it via a PO box in Eastern Washington and skip the emissions test...

PITA, but do-able.

gila,

If you are not going to use the rear seatbelts, I'd love to buy them. The previous owner of my Raider had a dog, and now there are no belts in back. Makes it hard to carry the family, and my 4 year old daughter is DYING to take a ride in the truck...

Wagonmaster, What part of the seat belts do you need? What is your email address or phone #? I live near Renton.

Has anyone put shoulder seat belts in the rear od their swb? It looks like there is a threaded insert that could accept the upper mount.

I put three-point belts in my 87. There is the bolt hole high, and the recoilers go behind the panels above the wheel wells.

gila,

My mistake. I assumed that yours WERE 3 point, as my 89s are. I'll need to replace with 3 pointers for the kid seat to work. 3 pointers from 4-door rigs will NOT interchange with the 2-door units in the Gen I's.

Monty, what type of 3 points did you use? Can I adapt the belts from the front of my parts swb. Any pictures.

Side note: I capped all my vacuum lines except the line to the distributor. Weber works much better now.

Without actually taking them out, it looks like fronts belts will interchange between the 4-door and 2-door Gen I's. Front belts will NOT interchange with rear belts in the 2-door.
