1- the clicking is normal. That's just the locker disengaging and the teeth sliding over each other.

2- Mine didn't behave particularly badly. You may want to make sure tire diameters/pressures are matched. Difficult steering is expected. All the tires have to turn "at least" as fast as the driveshaft is trying to turn them. The only tire that may unlock is the one on the outside of the turn, and you won't really even notice it.

I've got an ARB up front now, and trying to turn in full spool mode is even worse than it was with the lockright.
