Thanks for the quick response torquemonster! I think I saw your truck at the IVOAC M&G. Was that you?
I understand that I can't expect a 4d56 to perform like a newer TDI, but mine smokes and chugs at +15C parked indoors.
I would expect that below freezing, but at +15, that's a bit strange I thought...
So far, I've changed the oil to Lucas synthetic 15w40, air filter to K&N, tried blocking EGR with no difference, pulled out the glow plugs and cleaned them out.
Next I thought would be timing, or glow plugs are working but have gone bad...
