The debate is ongoing. What I believe is that the only performance gains you'll realize will be the result of the computer changing the shift points and fuel trim to adjust for your new, more aggressive driving habits trying out your new "perfoming enhancing products".

In short, no. I don't think you'll do anything by adding it other than add another potential air leak after the airflow meter. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
