The cans I see on here are not NATO but like U.S. Army cans.
Different , not as H.D.

I like that mount on the Gen 2 above the door handle ,, but on my Gen 1 it blocks the key hole.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
There is a 'real' steel gas can at NAPA on ElCamino, no mounts, I think it was about $50, The plastic, that kinda scares me. but I'm still packing inside, no externals stuff.... YOu say that's a Coleman roof cage??

$50 is too much for a real steel can. Check Cheaperthandirt.com or a surplus store. They usually can be had for $15-20.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

The NAPA can is an- extra thin metal - imatation U.S. army jerry can. It might be a Blitz. Crap.

I looked again and see the can from wedco IS a NATO.
I'm gonna get a mount from them now.

AFAIC Scepter makes the best fuel containers. This is the one I have (mine has a yellow band on the cover, indicating diesel)
[Linked Image]

They also make them in desert tan, red, etc. No need for venting, since they're so rigid. There's a pic on their site somewhere of a vehicle with its tire on top of the fuel can. No deflection. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> These things are tough. They make water cans too.
