Survial food

I'm going to need three of those per year.....just for me. If it really is enough calories for an adult male working hard then it is a great deal.

What the hell good will only a week's worth of booze do me during Armageddon?

The public is afraid of people who are prepared. Why this is, I do not know,

That's easy. Lots of WHACKOS are into "survival".

Of course only a few, but they've made headlines.

Well.. good deal for taking notice, but the general opinion of "bear grissle" is not very high in the survival community. He does some serious stupid moves, and I would be wary of listening to any of his advice for wilderness survival.

I am just listing Grylls because I couldn't think of the other guy on discovery. I know how to survive in the wilderness with a knife and flint. Worse comes to worse and either our gov collapses or they try putting chips in our necks I can go into the woods and disappear.

>>>*You guys and your big pics are being mean to me, since I am on D...I...A...L...up out here in the middle of nowhere.

But I am stubborn, so I got it open. On this subject, the most important thing is knowing what to do when the world goes belly up and the 7-11 and Starbucks just don't open up come Monday morning.

Now some will laugh and say that can't happen.

Well. It ALWAYS has, to EVERY society on Earth, throughout history. And one day things will change here, also.

Having food on hand, shelter available can weather a long term storm. Knowing how to build a fire without matches (use your wife's bra strap or a stout piece of string) knowing how to find clean water because you die from lack of that first.

Then the next thing that might get you would be your fellow citizens because if YOU have and THEY don't, guess what they will try to do?

So, I keep lots and LOTS of ammunition around, all .22 caliber (go ahead and laugh but I can carry several thousand rounds and head for the woods if I have to) and I am right handy with a longbow. (Which I can and have made)..

Food is actually last on the list but sure is nice to have prepared and handy. If the power goes out, that deep freeze isn't much use, learning to store food safely is quite an asset.

The wife and I are probably the lucky ones in one way, we have quite a bit of land and food grows wild year round out there.

Of course, that makes us a class "A" target if things do go all to he**.

Not too likely in my lifetime, but there is nothing wrong with just in case......

One neat thing, if the lights go out, by this time next year we will just throw a switch and turn them back on....*EB

*Beats the he** outa me!....*LOL**...
