(Matt) It would be really cool if you'd use the {SHIFT} button more often... We see that you know where it is: "CB" is capitalized. This will help us read through your posts with greater ease.

The three-prong wire loom on the center console doesn't connect to anything that I've found on the USDM Montero/Raider models. I recently installed the same CB in my Raider.


I ran wiring to the battery to have the most direct, cleanest power. My console also powers a 12-volt multi-outlet for the different things I plug in, a 140W power convertor, and the stereo.

In the factory stereo connector, there are 1 (each) 'power with ignition on' and 'always on' that may simplify your power tap. For my CB antenna lead, I went to the rear loom connector in the right rear portion of the cabin, and went out to the rear bumper with the antenna.
