other is that the master brake fluid reservoir... there is a float switch in there that fails... well actually the switch is there to see if the level of the brake fluid is low.

if low, it's supposed trigger that symptoms you are experiencing right now.

but when that switch fails... well, same thing.

on my 90 4runner, i just disconnected that switch in the cap from the harness.

WARNING: that switch has a safety function. disconnecting that switch might not tell you when you have a massive loss of brake fluid.

the toyota dealer wanted something like $70+ for that new cap and switch...
