OK, weird story. My new tires chucked a rock backwards against my Utility Trailer which ricocheted into my back (tailgate) window and shattered it. All in order to make my day!
Can some of you folks with parts cross references check to see if the '92 Montero version will fit, and give me the appropriate parts number? Help... My Paj is parked in my back yard... helpless and drafty.
Thanks so much...

Hi Ron... just ran those numbers for you, and here's what I found:
North American CAPS says Montero uses MB881242 or MB677529 (gray, there's another # for bronze). JDM CAPS says Pajero uses MB677404 (grey) or bronze (MB677403).
I'm not saying it won't work - remember I used a side window from a Montero, and it was identical. All I'm saying is that CAPS uses two different numbers... could be a superseded part number, etc.
Hope this helps. If it was me, I'd double check if I could return the part, and then get it from the dealer, check it against the one that's there, and put it in myself if it was the same... unless you have a glass connection...

When I had to get my side window done they found one in the US for a 92 Montero and it worked.

Thanks Phil. I will give that a shot... and if it doesn't work maybe I'll get one custom cut from lexan... than I will really be Bullet Proof! Were the numbers for your side window the same in the NA and JA CAPS?

I am starting to think that JDM CAPS and N/A CAPS are not the same haha. I have found a few part numbers that were different when I knew for a fact the part was the same. I hate revisions!!!
hopefully you get it all figured out Ron...I haven't seen you driving around in a while, usually I see you from time to time.

Ron, I'll check into the tail gates for you (have to have my NA and JDM caps installed on two different computers for them to work properly, so I can't check it from here yet - this laptop has NA caps, so let's check that first)...
Okay, Montero V43W (3000 v6 model) shows MB860577 for the rear door panel. I'll check JDM caps in a bit...

Well, back at my desktop for a minute - JDM Caps tells this story: -Rear door panel for V43W (jdm 3000v6) is MB860569 -Rear door panel for V44WG (yours) is also MB860569
Doesn't match the NA number, but the v6 and diesel have the same number in Japan....It stands to reason that if the v6 and 2.5 doors match in Japan, they should match our v6 as well, yes?
Just on a whim, I checked the JDM rear glass in the V6 versus the one in the JDM diesel
-MB677404 V44wg rear glass -MB677404 V43w rear glass...
Again, its the same. I can't imagine that the V6s would have different rear glasses in different markets...
Hope this helps.

OK, got the new rear window installed today... fit perfectly (ordered from the States as for a 1992 Montero). Cost: $500 including install ($150.00 of that was courier charge from the U.S.). So my baby is back on the road..... now I just have to figure out how to stop rocks from bouncing off my trailer!
Thanks again for all your help!
