Man, what the heck? South and north have cheaper gas than I do right now. We're holding at 1.78ish for 2 weeks now.

Sounds like a good price for CA. My Bro was coming through from NY state. He says they just passed some excise taxes there. NY used to run ~$0.30 more that here. Now it's more like ~$0.90! That state is pure insanity. I don't know how people lice there. What a shame too, as it is some great country once you get off the highways.

BTW, the new tax is on cigarettes too he says- $7.00/pack now. There's a good reason to quit, in case black lung isn't enough! (That tax is fine by me...)

let's see, $7 per day x 365 days = $2,555. That'll buy you a half decent Gen I!

1.67 Crude at 49.62 WOW. Why is my gas still 1.67?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

They're gonna squeeze us for all they can get away with. After Katrina/Rita, you should know what gouging looked like. We challenge the gas companies up here about every 4 years on gouging. This year, it's being investigated down in JNU, so hopefully something will come of it.

We are paying 2.95 canadian, or 2.30 canadian for a gallon of regular.
Yeah, we're still getting hosed, almost half of our price is taxes...
