Nate speaks! I'd listen. His neon is about 350hp, and his swb is Powell's old Shogun that my son was driving. This last time the battery was not dead, the terminal wasnt getting a good connection. Replaced the terminal and its fine. Previously however the lights were surging and that was the voltage regulator on the alternator. I replaced the alternator and its fine. Truck still runs rich/horrible. Cat was clogged and the shop replaced it with a straight pipe. (Free and I have no emmisions in Hall county) and I guess tomorrow I will finally have a day off to get the numbers off the ecu case. Like I said though, the ecu looked clean when I last cracked it open but what area should I look at if the injector driver was messed up? I read about somebody elses issue and that solved it. I'm really sick of putting all this street time on the RX-7! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> Fasteddy, I grew up in Gainesville and my family still lives there. I'd love to bring the truck up to you but I dont think it would make it as its stumbles periodically and currently gets like 4 mpg.

I suspect that you have another issue, like a leaking injector, a clogged fuel pressure regulator, a pinched fuel return hose, or a leaking injector. I'd pull the plugs and look for one or more with heavy carbon or damp with gas. I've tested for leaking injectors with a vac gauge hooked to the spray end. If it leaks air, it leaks gas.
You may also have a failed ect sensor, and the ecu thinks the engine is very cold and is throwing in a bunch of cold start enrichment all the time, which will also cause the engine to run like crap. I assume the exhaust smells very gassy? I have an ohm meter test for the ect sensor from the fsm, if you have a multimeter (and thermometer - the sensor is a thermistor whose resistance varies with temps). Cheap part and easy to get to.

YEEEAAAAHHHH!! Got a new ecu off ebay for cheap (30 bucks) and it works!
Got a spare 90 3.0 V6 if anybody wants it.
Anywho the truck is 95% back to normal with the only exception being after a drive and it comes to a stop its idles low for a while and then works its way back up to 600 rpm or so. Just letting it run and idle it does fine but if you are driving and come to a stop it just dips too low me.
Its only been driven like 20 miles and maybe still learning but other than that its smooth and I have my acceleration back and I want to have my mpg back and be WAY better than before since the tune up. Truck now has egr removed and no cat.
What do you think I should do about that or does it sounds normal for not running in a while?
Thanks for all the help guys. Now that its runs right again I can meet some of you locals.

How old is the fuel in the tank? I would run down most of the fuel in the tank. Then refill with good, fresh fuel.

Can I manually adjust the idle using the biss screw on the throttle body on the 3.0 trucks if it still doesnt come up? Answer: I adjusted the biss on the throttle body but the idle didnt go up past 550 rpm but i could make it go down slightly. I didnt find and vacuum leaks though. Thoughts?

I think you want the EGR. I think the idle issue shouldnt be a problem. That's just what I think.
