Bighead,

The sound mine was making seems alot like you describe. You should try to get it fixed under warranty like I did. If you don;t want to fix under warranty or the dealer balks at replacing a normal wear item (brakes) you could replace the pads and shim kit yourself. It seems like a pretty cheap fix.
