My last 2 trucks (a 93 runner and 92 truck) I removed the ashtray and bracket and mounted my cb's there. It was out of the way and fit nicely. It has to be a smaller radio to fit though. Last one was a cheaper $40 radio from Wal-Mart. I did have to make up my own bracket however, because the one that comes with the radio wouldn't fit with the big knobs on the sides.................
