My jeep is acting like it's got a burned valve. It runs really rough at idle (missing). I have not pulled the plugs or done a compression check yet but I do have a spare 258 that was rebuilt about 30K ago I was working on (its dissasembled now). If that is the problem, would I be able to stick that head on, with new lifters and pushrods, without any machine work or would that be a bad idea?
