Need a Spot
Hi all, New Guy here. Where would I buy a new long block for my 94 4X4 extra cab 22re? Iam looking for a good one. Mine has 205000 miles on it and it is bone stock. It still runs good and does not leak oil or burn it. I want a new long block for it, so I can slowly build the old one like I want. Thanks for any help.

engnbldr.com (OR) or Sunwest Automotive (WA). I've dealt with both gentlemen, Ted and Mike respectively. Mike also sells on fleabay. He's just outside of Spokane.

Roll Me Over
If you are going to do a performance build-up for the next engine, just buy a used block w/head and rebuild that motor. Bore the block, port the head, enlarge the valves, and buy your bigger valves/pistons/performance cam/etc from enginebuilder.

Not sure what part of NM you are in, but here is one in Carlsbad

Also check our 4sale section, MarlinCrawler.com forums, or Pirate4x4.com

You'd probably need to ask Tod at the shop. Ted's busy with a bear at the moment, if he's not fishin'. I'm just hoping the two blocks I **HAD** are salvageable. Dayem rouge river enyhoo. I was ready to stuff 'em this summer.

I just wanted a new long block for now to keep my truck going for a few years, till I have the extra bucks to build my old one up a little better than stock. I guess my real question was, where to get a good long block, and how did it work for other people here on the forum. Just alittle feed back. Thanks again.

www.car-part.com Stay away from JFE Engines, aka 22R/22RE.biz. That dude is a jerk.

I keep an eye on craigslist too for cores.

Ummmm... another couple places I internet shop with is www.spaldings.com in Spokane and BeepBeep! Automotive imports down in Tucson. Google for website; not sure if they have one.
