Come January, the Museum I work at will be open & mostly in full swing. We will have many of the GM musclecars, that you dreamed about or drove, on display.Camaros, Z28's ( the real onjes w/ the 302 ), Impalas (many 409's), Belairs, Novas, Chevelles, GTO's, 442's, many antiques, many trucks & of course around 75 corvettes (16-67 big block 4 speed vettes).

Most cars are the fastest option/engine packages of the day. 90% big block/4 speeds.

The museum will be called Musclecar city in Punta Gorda FL.

I will give free guided tours to all Mitsu wire folk that give me some notice as to when they will be here. You will still have to pay the $10 admission, though, as just the electric bill is around $6000 per month.

If you would like a preview, look up Rick Treworgy , Chevy , Paul zazarine on google (Paul has done around 60 magazine articles on the collection.

Thanks...

Ed

May take you up on this offer when I deliver the "street raider" to my little brother in April. He and my step dad live in South Venice.

I will keep everyone apprised of the progress. We finished paint inside & tuesday should have carpet done (36,000 sqft).
Then need to strip & rewax all the tile, resetup the shelving gondolas where needed & start bringing cars over.

Might be open sometime in Dec. if all goes well.

I heard an interview on a Tampa radio station with someone from a car museum in Punta Gorda. Is this the same? I think it they said it was opening this weekend??

Very cool.

Let us know.

Yes, the museum is open. I am no longer working there & went back to repairing & detailing boats.
The offer is still open to any & all on here that would like a free guided tour of the facility.
Right now, there are about 180 cars on display, with 20 more to go. Old gasoline can really mess with 50 year old fuel systems.

Locals can get a years unlimited membership for $30.00 & a day's admission is $10.00.

Well worth the price if you appreciate the best of the best in GM musclecars. I can't even walk by the fishing department for $30.00...LOL
