Forgot to answer your other questions... replacing the fuel filter on ZJ's is a pain in the behind to put it lightly, you have to drop the gas tank as it's located IN the fuel pump that is located guess where... in the gas tank. The fuel pump is non-servicable meaning that you have to buy a NEW fuel pump to replace the filter ($200-300 depending on where you purchase it) so check your trouble codes before you go out and purchase a fuel pump.
Front axle shaft removal on a D30 is fairly straight forward can be done in 15-30 mins depending on rust or other variables but if it's your first time doing something like this then give yourself about an hour or so. Word of advice, spray all the nuts and bolts you will be removing with WD40 at least a day in advance to loosen everything up, you WILL need a 12-point 13MM socket to remove the 3 hub bolts from the knuckle (nothing else will work and you risk stripping the bolts if you try it with anything else) and a 32MM or 36MM socket (can't remember the exact size off the top of my head) to remove the stub-shaft nut. Having a breaker bar will make this a whole lot easier of a project but it's not necessary.
