Getting the Wheeling Fever
I work on the road therefore don't have a ton of time.
I am hoping to find someone to help with a project.
I need to take the body off a Gen 1 4 cylinder and and put it on a V6 Frame and motor. Both Vehicles are at my place. V6 got smashed up. I will gladly trade good parts off of them or the Gen 1 Montero I also have. It is a full size I picked up for parts.(bad head gasket or motor.) It has a full interior and lots of other goodies. It is in great shape cept for some of the front end. Would drive if ran good.

Please email me at hd77303 at gmail .com
PS: I may also be able to pay for the help and or job.
Thanks
KD

3 rides, 1 smashed, 2 with bad motors, going to rebuild it he says, going to try!
Hate to say it. Never have time and money together. The raiders all of them are available.
Parts or whatever you want.

I know there are folks around texas but not sure how close to houston area.

What kind of help are you looking for? Extra set of eyes/hands or brain power too (i.e. technically adept)?

I know if it's brain power then you can get most of that here w/out someone being onsite. If it's hands to assist you with the transfer process you may want to consider swapping the motor to the rig w/ a good body as this may be easier to do as a one man shop although it's certainly easier with an extra pair of hands. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The issue I have is the good body is an inline 4. Has leaf springs, and not a LSD rear end. So would it be better to switch all that out or replace the body?

I am thinking that I would replace everything except the body so why not just do that?
Again, I am asking as I have never jumped into something like this.

Thanks

How bad off is the body on the V6? might be easier to hack and weld from the 4cyl onto the V6
