V6 fronts need V6 dust shield. Straight swap for Gen I calipers, need trimming for Gen II.

If doing the V6 brakes, get the booster and hose to go with.

V6 front axle (housing, etc.) will bolt in readily. With that, you have the options of LSD from StarQuest and ARB locker. (Diff year Quest donors need to mix-n-match CVs- 87 needs I4 CVs and 88-89 will use V6's. Earlier will need I4 and some spacers fabbed up.)

V6 auto tranny with I4 bellhousing will bolt up. A 91 donor gets the lock-up converter. (And some 90s... mid-year changeover...?)

Note to the above, according to a quick search on Car-Parts, the Gen II AT for 12V 3.0 uses same bellhousing as Gen I V6. This suggests a very doable Gen II Active-Trac upgrade...? (Note that shift on the fly will need the CAD dealt with.)

Note to the above, don't rush to swap the 12V 3.0 front axle to gain CAD. It is like the smaller I4, meaning no ARB.

This is all from a faded memory, correct me where I am wrong and I'll edit to keep together.
