Ok...how about 30 round ammo feeder?

What is the technical difference between a clip, and a magazine?

If you open up a military can of 5.56 the ammo is stored on little clips that have a grove. They hold the ammo together by the rim. You take your clip then attach your speed loader and push the rounds down into the magazine.

In most cases, it can be boiled down to "clips are used to load magazines." If the magazine is intended to be detached from the firearm (ARs) then you don't absolutely need to use clips to load it. But if you've got a bunch of rounds already on clips, it will save time versus placing the rounds in the magazine one by one. Clips are more of a necessity when loading rifles that have an internal magazine, like an M1 Garand.

And still no love for the .308...sigh...

My gun's black, too. And you want to talk "music...?" Nothing like the echoes through the canyons when the CETME speaks.

I picked up a half-dozen stripper-clips for my Mosin. Sure makes loading the internal magazine much easier.

I also have an UpLULA magazine loader for loading all of my pistol magazines in real short order. I love that thing. I can load-up a 50-box of rounds by hand in under two minutes with no sore digits . Easy-peasy.
