Need a Spot
I am in need of some help, having only ever owned a Raider. How many kids can you realistically fit a first gen LWB back seat? I have one in a booster, one in a forward facing, and would need space for an infant rear facing.

Anyone with direct experience/pics? If not, can someone get me the rear seat dimension measurements from armrest to armrest? I believe if there is 53+" I can make it work...

Thanks.

Body Damage is Cool
Three, no problem.

I had two in car seats at the same time. The rr facer was on one side and the fr facer on the other. On occasion we'd have to carry a third kid and that seat went in the middle.

Even with two car seats, an adult can still fit back there provided the load isn't too wide - if you catch my drift.

Sorry, no pics as my car seat days are long over - thank God. One of the happiest days of my life was the one when I got into a vehicle and didn't have to buckle someone elses seat belt.

If nobody gets here first, I'll have armrest-to-armrest for you by the end of the day.

You can also retro an SWB second into a third row in an LWB pretty easily. IF you do, I'd get Gen II third row belts as the have the ratchet deal for kid seats.

Thanks for the info gentleman... and I too await a single-buckling (my own) driving experience, but also really enjoy why I have to worry about the extra buckling though too.

Wagonmaster, if you could get me those measuements, it would be greatly appreciated.

My arm rest to arm rest measures 1321mm, which is 52"

I often load three adults in the back.

As long as you don't have those fat car seats with armrests and cupholders you'll be fine.

As stated above, one of my favorite mods to my LWB Gen I was to install a rear seat out of a 2 door and give yourself 3rd row seating. It pretty much just bolts in and looks factory. good luck!

Thanks again for the info... finding a SWB rear seat and its mounting brackets does sound like the way to go; however, finding them is the problem...

There is even a pre-drilled upper hole for mounting a 3 point belt system in back...
