Thanks again for the info... finding a SWB rear seat and its mounting brackets does sound like the way to go; however, finding them is the problem... Where are you?

I am in North Central Pennsylvania (Lewisburg, 17837). And Wagonmaster, there is really a bolt for third row shoulder belts? If so, I am SOLD  Do you happen to have any pics of your setup perchance? Thanks again. The hunt is now really on in earnest for my first Gen I LWB... I have been checking craigslist in the driveable areas, and have not seen a SWB or LWB Gen I listed in a couple months...

I'm in Seattle: Bit far, I'm afraid. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> No, there is no bolt for a third row belt. There is a hole where a bolt would be. The hole also exists in the plastic cover panel (and is covered by a plug). If you can weld, you can easily install a belt bolt in that position, then pull the plug out and mount yer belt. Git er done! Interestingly, a hole in the same 3rd row position also exists in the SWB version. No pics at this time, sorry.

We did my Bro's LWB a few years ago. Just used the lapbelts though. Here is an old thread.

There is a hole where a NUT would go, that you could bolt the seatbelt to. There is a corrisponding hole in the plastic to allow you to put the bolt into the NUT that would be welded at the spot of the hole. This also exists in the SWB.

I don't think you'll match the interior exactly. Unless maybe a harder to find 89-90 SWB had the same patterns. The earlier years I have seen are not the same as the later LWBs.
My SWB didn't need a nut welded. It was already prepped, like the the way the front seatbelts bolt in up high.

I would describe it as in an equivalent position relative to the seat placement. IOW, the rear in an SWB is more like the third row area in an LWB. My three-point rears have the high bolt up above the rear window and slightly behind the send row seats. All I had to do was bolt in the belt, the strengthened thread point was already there (behind the cap).
