Been a long day of raking in the cold with flurries and a storm coming. I'm running a little stupid. I thought this was on you LWB...

As for SWB and jumpers, I picked up a set from the back of a Ranger. They are pretty neat and have the lap belts (not 3-point) already built in. It set them in though and they sit too high. They could be reworked, but I think that the time that would take is not worth it. I'll build some that fit exactly the way I want.

You'll probably find that there just isn't enough room to actually fit a person back there. At the top of the wheelwell, there's about 18" of hip room between the seat and the hatch. At the top of the seat, there's about 15" of shoulder room. Look back in the photos at the bench that I fitted on the side: My feet were sticking 3" over the half way mark when I sat in it.

SWB rigs just aren't meant to have a 3rd row...

A few things for my situation...

1. My SWB rarely has full grown people in the second row.
2. The jumps will be for kids mainly, when bringing my kids' friends on day trips.
3. With my Gen II third rows in the second, I can squeeze out upwards of two inches of space behind them.
4. The Gen II jumpers can be reclined, and hence can be brough up a little when the space is needed in the rear.
5. I am going to cut the top off altogether, which will gain some space at the very back where the rear pillar tilts to the front. (Which will be offset some by a rollbar.)

Bottom line, yes, the space it minimal. But again, theydid come that way overseas. So it is possible, albeit with come compromise.

Well, I just call the person who has it for sale. He said it was an option from Mitsubishi and there are hole for the tracks to bolt up to. The nuts are welded to the floor on the underside.
I'd check my Monty, but it still has the bed in place. Alway ready for an overnighter, fishing or off road trip.

These may in fact be the ones.

I found an interesting set of bolt holes, which I didn't photograph, but will decribe when I get back from dinner.

Back now. In the LWB, there are seatbelt sized bolt holes behind the seat bolt spots. One in front of each tie-down point, and two directly in front of the gas tank cover plate. I don't know how a third row would bolt in, since the holes are very far forward, but there you go.

Unless those are the bolt holes used for lap belts on the 2nd row seats.

Here is a pic of the rear of a Gen I LWB:

[Linked Image]

The 2 pairs of purple markers on each side are the smaller tie-down point nuts, while the green on each side and the middle are larger. Looks like they are for seatbelt points for the 2nd row.

I don't see any other points to put a third row in...
