Hello folks! I just bought a pretty well built 1978 CJ7 and I have a couple of questions. I am new to Jeeps but have been Four Wheeling for years with Early Broncos. They just soak up too much cash and gas anymore. The Jeep I bought has a 304 in it with a 2 bbl carb. I am considering a swap to a 4 bbl or TBI. If I go the carb route would a Edelbrock Performer manifold and a Holley 470 CFM Truck Avenger be a decent set-up or would I need the cam and lifters as well? If I go with TBI would it perform better with a 4 bbl manifold? The Jeep has stock flares on it and 10.5 wheels with 33 BFG Muds on them. Would Bushwacker Pocket Flares have too much overhang and look like crap? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />
